時崔胤專政，亦倚全忠，二人因是相結，改樞吏部侍郎。 Cui Yin was then dominant at court and also relied on Quanzhong. The two formed an alliance, and Shu was made vice minister of personnel.

其年冬，昭宗幸華州，崔胤貶官，樞亦為工部尚書。 That winter Emperor Zhaozong went to Hua. When Cui Yin was demoted, Shu was made minister of works.

崔胤誅，以全忠素厚，相位如故。 After Cui Yin was executed, Shu retained his chief ministry unchanged, thanks to his long-standing ties with Quanzhong.

丞相崔胤，外與太祖申結輔佐之好，內遣心腹密講忠義。 Cui Yin allied with the Founder and secretly plotted restoration.

〈（《通鑒》：德昭常惋不平，崔胤聞之，遣判官石戩與之遊。 (The 《Zizhi Tongjian》 says Cui Yin sent Shi Kan to win Dezhao.

德昭感慨，乃與本軍孫承誨、董從實三人，奮發應命，誓圖返正，崔又割衣手筆以通其志。 Moved, Dezhao joined Sun Chenghui and Dong Congshi to restore the throne; Cui Yin sealed the pact in writing.

於是丞相崔胤奉迎禦丹鳳樓，率百辟待罪，泣且奏曰：「臣居大位，不能討奸，賴東平王全忠首奮忠貞，誅殺邸吏，遂致德昭等擒戮妖逆，再清禁闈。」 Cui Yin welcomed the emperor at Danfeng Tower, led the assembled officials in awaiting punishment, and wept as he memorialized, "I hold high office yet was unable to suppress the traitors. Thanks to Zhu Quanzhong, Prince of Dongping, who first displayed loyal resolve and killed the palace agents, Dezhao and the others were able to capture and execute the wicked rebels and cleanse the palace once more."

而德昭獨按兵，與太祖親吏婁敬思葉力衛丞相及文武百官，與長安吏民保於街東，免為所劫。 Only Dezhao held his troops and with Lou Jingsi shielded Cui Yin and the court east of the street.

曰：「崔胤、令狐渙。」 The emperor answered, "Cui Yin and Linghu Huan."

始，崔胤罷相，扆代之。 Earlier, when Cui Yin was removed from the chancellorship, Yi had replaced him.

胤內怨望，及是議以為陰有黨附，貶沂王傅，分司東都。 Yin harbored resentment within, and on this occasion the court concluded that Yi had secretly maintained factional ties. Yi was demoted to Tutor of the Prince of Yi and assigned to the eastern capital.

胤死，復授吏部尚書，從遷洛。 After Yin died, Yi was again appointed Minister of Personnel and accompanied the court in its move to Luoyang.

宰相崔胤判度支，表以自副。 When Chancellor Cui Yin took charge of the budget, he recommended Wo as his deputy.

偓嘗與胤定策誅劉季述，昭宗反正，為功臣。 Wo once joined with Yin in planning the execution of Liu Jishu. When Emperor Zhaozong restored the throne, Wo was counted among the meritorious ministers.

初，李繼昭等以功皆進同中書門下平章事，時謂「三使相」，後稍稍更附韓全誨、周敬容，皆忌胤。 At first Li Jizhao and the others were all promoted to Co-Director of the Secretariat-Chancellery for their merits, and the age called them the "Three Commissioner-Chancellors." Later they gradually attached themselves to Han Quanhui and Zhou Jingrong, and all came to resent Cui Yin.

胤聞，召鳳翔李茂貞入朝，使留族子繼筠宿衛。 When Yin heard of this, he summoned Li Maozhen of Fengxiang to court and had Maozhen's clansman Li Jiyun remain behind as an inner guard.

偓聞，以為不可，胤不納。 When Wo heard of this, he regarded the plan as unwise, but Yin would not listen.

胤聞，憂，未知所出。 When Yin heard this, he grew anxious and did not know what to do.

及胤召朱全忠討全誨，汴兵將至，偓勸胤督茂貞還衛卒。 When Yin summoned Zhu Quanzhong to attack Quanhui and the Bian armies were about to arrive, Wo urged Yin to press Maozhen to withdraw his guard troops.

從皓讓偓曰：「南司輕北司甚，君乃崔胤、王溥所薦，今日北司雖殺之可也。 Conghao reproached Wo, saying, "The southern offices hold the northern offices in great contempt. You were recommended by Cui Yin and Wang Pu. Today the northern offices could kill you without consequence.

帝行武德殿前，因至尚食局，會學士獨在，宮人招偓，偓至，再拜哭曰：「崔胤甚健，全忠軍必濟。」 The emperor was walking before Wude Hall and then went to the Food Service Bureau. Finding the academician alone there, palace women summoned Wo. When Wo arrived he bowed twice and wept, saying, "Cui Yin is in excellent health. Quanzhong's army is sure to prevail."

崔胤請以輝王為元帥，帝問偓：「它日累吾兒否？」 Cui Yin asked that the Prince of Hui be made commander-in-chief. The emperor asked Wo, "Will this bring trouble upon my son in days to come?"

偓議附胤類如此。 Wo's counsels in support of Yin were mostly of this kind.

全忠、胤臨陛宣事，坐者皆去席，偓不動，曰：「侍宴無輒立，二公將以我為知禮。」 When Quanzhong and Yin came to the steps to announce affairs, all those seated rose from their mats, but Wo did not move. He said, "At a feast one does not rise casually. The two lords will take me for a man who understands ritual."

有譖偓喜侵侮有位，胤亦與偓貳。 Someone slandered Wo, saying that he delighted in insulting men of rank. Yin also turned away from him.

會逐王溥、陸扆，帝以王贊、趙崇為相，胤執贊、崇非宰相器，帝不得已而罷。 At that time Wang Pu and Lu Yi were driven out. The emperor appointed Wang Zan and Zhao Chong as chancellors, but Yin insisted that neither was fit for the chancellorship, and the emperor had no choice but to dismiss them.

全忠見帝，斥偓罪，帝數顧胤，胤不為解。 Quanzhong saw the emperor and denounced Wo's crimes. The emperor repeatedly looked toward Yin for help, but Yin offered no defense.

昭宗自岐還，太祖見裕眉目疏秀，惡之，謂宰相崔胤曰：「德王嘗為季述所立，安得猶在乎？ When Zhaozong came back from Qi, the Founder looked at Yu’s fine face and hated him. He told Cui Yin: “Jishu made that boy emperor. How is he still breathing?

胤奏之，昭宗不許，佗日以問太祖，太祖曰：「臣安敢及之，胤欲賣臣爾。」 Yin memorialized; Zhaozong refused. Another day Zhaozong asked the Founder about it. Zhu Wen said: “I would never dare raise a hand—Yin is trying to sell me out.”

太祖大悟，乃囚季述使者，遣振詣京師見崔胤，謀出昭宗。 The Founder seized the point, jailed Jishu’s messenger, and sent Zhen to Chang’an to Cui Yin to free Zhaozong.

光化三年，劉季述廢昭宗，幽之東宮，宰相崔胤謀反正，陰使人求義士可共成事者，德昭乃與孫承誨、董從實應胤，胤裂衣襟為書以盟。 In Guanghua 3 (900) Liu Jishu deposed Zhaozong and shut him in the Eastern Palace. Chancellor Cui Yin plotted to restore him and quietly sought men with the stomach for the work. Dezhao, Sun Chenghui, and Dong Congshi answered the call. Yin ripped his robe lining into oath strips.

是時，崔胤方欲誅唐宦官，外交梁以為恃，而宦官亦倚李茂貞為扞蔽，梁、岐交爭。 Cui Yin was plotting to kill the Tang eunuchs and courted Liang for backing, while the eunuchs leaned on Li Maozhen of Qi. Liang and Qi were at odds.

冬十月，宦者韓全誨劫昭宗幸鳳翔，承誨、從實皆從，而德昭獨與梁，乃率兵衞胤及百官保東街，趣梁兵以西，梁太祖頗德其附己，以龍鳳劍、鬬鷄紗遺之。 In the tenth winter month eunuch Han Quanhui abducted Zhaozong to Fengxiang. Chenghui and Congshi went along, but Dezhao alone backed Liang. He marched to shield Cui Yin and the officials on East Street and pushed Liang's army west. Zhu Wen rewarded his loyalty with the dragon-phoenix sword and fighting-cock gauze.
