時大金川土司莎羅奔攻革布什咱土司犯邊，上命川陝總督張廣泗討之。 The Jinchuan chieftain Slob Dpon had attacked the Gbashi-za chief and raided the border; the emperor ordered Sichuan-Shaanxi governor-general Zhang Guangsi to punish him.

訥親與廣泗合疏言：「天時地利皆賊得其長，我兵無機可乘。 Neqin and Guangsi jointly wrote: 'Season and terrain favor the enemy; our troops find no opening.

訥親惟請還京面對，乃召訥親及廣泗詣京師，以岳鍾琪攝經略，傅爾丹攝川陝總督，復遣尚書班第同治軍事。 Neqin could only ask to return to the capital for audience; Neqin and Guangsi were summoned; Yue Zhongqi became acting commander-in-chief, Fu Erdan acting Sichuan-Shaanxi governor-general, and Minister Ban Di was again sent to manage affairs jointly.

尋奪訥親官，令自具鞍馬，從討噶爾丹贖罪，逮廣泗。 Soon Neqin was stripped of rank and ordered to furnish his own horse and follow the campaign against the Eleuths to redeem his guilt; Guangsi was arrested.

十二月，廣泗既誅，上封遏必隆遺刀授侍衛鄂實，監訥親還軍，誅以警眾。 In the twelfth month, after Guangsi was executed, the emperor sealed Ebilun's heirloom sword and gave it to guard E Shi to escort Neqin back to the army and execute him as a warning.

張廣泗入奸民王秋言，使領蠻兵，我師舉動，賊輒知之。 Zhang Guangsi trusted the traitor Wang Qiu, who led tribal troops, so the enemy always knew our movements.

彼時張廣泗若速進師，賊備未嚴，殄滅尚易； Had Zhang Guangsi advanced quickly then, the enemy was unprepared and could have been destroyed easily;

訥親初至，督戰甚急，任舉敗沒，銳挫氣索，軍無鬥志，一以軍事委張廣泗。 When Neqin arrived he pressed battle hard; Ren Ju fell, morale collapsed, and he handed everything to Zhang Guangsi.

廣泗又為奸人所愚，專主攻碉。 Guangsi was fooled by traitors and attacked only diao.

十三年，高宗東巡，攀龍迎鑾，命往金川，隸總督張廣泗軍，署松潘鎮總兵。 In year thirteen, when the Qianlong Emperor toured the east, Panlong met the imperial progress and was sent to Jinchuan under Governor-General Zhang Guangsi, with acting command of Songpan.

經略訥親、總督張廣泗劾攀龍攻色爾力不能下，兵部議左遷。 Commissioner-General Neqin and Governor-General Zhang Guangsi impeached Panlong for failing to take Se'erli, and the Board of War recommended his demotion.

上責攀龍自陳，攀龍言屢克卡殺賊報廣泗，廣泗不以入告。 The emperor ordered Panlong to account for himself; Panlong replied that he had repeatedly reported captures and kills to Guangsi, who had not relayed them to the court.

會訥親、廣泗皆得罪去，上知攀龍枉，命罷議。 When Neqin and Guangsi were both punished and dismissed, the emperor saw that Panlong had been wronged and ordered the case closed.

十二年，命徵金川，隸總督張廣泗軍。 In Qianlong 12 (1747), he was ordered to campaign against Jinchuan under Governor-General Zhang Guangsi.

廣泗亦奏在川鎮將，忠誠勇幹無出舉右者，令率漢、土兵三千取道攻昔嶺。 Zhang Guangsi also reported that among Sichuan's regional commanders none matched Ju in loyalty, courage, or capacity, and ordered him to lead three thousand Han and native troops against Xiling by a separate route.

廣泗令自納喇溝出昔嶺右，與舉合攻木岡賊所署城卡，力戰未即下。 Zhang Guangsi ordered Panlong out through Nala Ravine on Xiling's right to join Ju in storming the walled palisades at Mugang; despite fierce fighting the position did not fall at once.

良柱請移戎布師赴援，總督張廣泗不許，興陷於賊。 Liangzhu asked to move the Rongbu column to the rescue; Governor-General Zhang Guangsi refused, and Zhang Xing fell into the rebels' hands.

廣泗令良柱往攻，力戰，賊未卻。 Guangsi ordered Liangzhu to attack; despite hard fighting the rebels held their ground.

力不支，廣泗檄退師。 When they could no longer hold, Guangsi ordered a withdrawal.

廣泗劾之，命逮詣京師，良柱陳糧絕狀，上特原之。 Guangsi impeached him and ordered him brought to the capital in custody; Liangzhu explained that supplies were exhausted, and the emperor specially pardoned him.

其攻噶固，廣泗不為策應，餉又不時至，上知廣泗忌其成功，故特輕其罰雲。 During the attack on Gagu, Guangsi provided no support and provisions also failed to arrive on time; the emperor knew Guangsi was jealous of Liangzhu's success and therefore deliberately lightened his punishment.

雍正中，從揚武將軍張廣泗援吐魯番，屯魯克沁。 Under Yongzheng he followed General Zhang Guangsi to relieve Turfan and was stationed at Lukchun.

舉尤驍桀為軍鋒，訥親、張廣泗督戰急，鼓銳攻堅，遂以身殉，傷已！ Ju was the fiercest, the army's spearhead; Neqin and Zhang Guangsi drove the war hard, urging assaults on the strongest points, and so he died in service — a grievous loss!

良柱善戰，又以廣泗牽制，不能盡其材。 Liangzhu fought well, yet Zhang Guangsi's obstruction kept him from giving his full measure.
