訥親惟請還京面對，乃召訥親及廣泗詣京師，以岳鍾琪攝經略，傅爾丹攝川陝總督，復遣尚書班第同治軍事。 Neqin could only ask to return to the capital for audience; Neqin and Guangsi were summoned; Yue Zhongqi became acting commander-in-chief, Fu Erdan acting Sichuan-Shaanxi governor-general, and Minister Ban Di was again sent to manage affairs jointly.

時傅恆及提督岳鍾琪決策深入，莎羅奔遣頭人乞降，傅恆令自縛詣軍門。 Fu Heng and Yue Zhongqi chose to push deep; Slob Dpon sent headmen to sue for peace, and Fu Heng ordered him to bind himself and come to camp.

雜穀土司蒼旺為亂，偕提督岳鍾琪討平之。 When the Zagu chieftain Cangwang rebelled, he joined Provincial Commander Yue Zhongqi in suppressing the revolt.

雜穀土司蒼旺為亂，提督岳鍾琪檄進忠討之，奪銅砲一，斬馘數十，生擒二十五，降茶堡番民二千餘。 When Cangwang of Zagu rebelled, Yue Zhongqi dispatched Jinzhong to suppress him; he took one bronze cannon, killed several dozen rebels, captured twenty-five alive, and received the submission of more than two thousand Chabao tribesmen.

When the chieftains appealed for troops, Acting Governor-General Agui and Regional Commander Yue Zhongqi memorialized the throne directing Yuanjun, together with Acting Vice General Chang Qing, to rally the chieftains for a joint punitive campaign.
