乾寧二年，建與鳳翔李茂貞、邠州王行瑜舉兵赴闕，迫昭宗請以王珙為河中帥，害大臣於都下。 In Qianning 2 Jian joined Li Maozhen of Fengxiang and Wang Xingyu of Binzhou in marching troops to the capital. They pressured Emperor Zhaozong to appoint Wang Gong military governor of Hezhong and killed senior ministers in the capital.

乾寧初，王珂、王珙爭帥河中，珙引陝州之軍攻珂，珂求救於武皇，乃令嗣昭將兵援之，敗珙軍於猗氏，獲賊將李璠等。 Early in the Qianning era, Wang Ke and Wang Gong fought over command of Hezhong. Gong brought Shaan troops against Ke, who appealed to the Martial Emperor. Sizhao was sent to his aid, defeated Gong at Yishi, and captured the rebel general Li Fan and others.

後事陝州節度使王珙，積勞至軍校。 He later entered the service of Wang Gong, military governor of Shanzhou, and rose by merit to regimental commander.

珙性嚴急，禦下無恩，牙將李璠者，珙深所倚愛，小有違忤，暴加箠擊，璠陰銜之。 Wang Gong was harsh and graceless toward his men; Li Fan, a favored staff officer, bore the brunt of his rage at the slightest offense and secretly nursed a grudge.

光化元年，珙與弟河中節度使珂相持，干戈日尋，珙兵屢敗，部伍離心。 In 898 Wang Gong and his brother Ke, military governor of Hezhong, fell into open war; Gong's armies kept losing and his troops lost heart.

二年六月，璠殺珙，歸附汴人，梁祖表璠為陝州節度使。 In the sixth month of the following year Fan killed Gong, went over to the Liang, and the Liang Founder had him appointed military governor of Shanzhou.
