太安中，京師禁酒，張以姑老且患，私為醞之，為有司所糾。
During the Tai'an era, wine was banned in the capital; because her mother-in-law was old and ill, Zhang brewed wine for her in secret and was reported by the authorities.
張氏曰：「姑老抱患，張主家事，姑不知釀，其罪在張。」
Lady Zhang said, "My mother-in-law is old and ill; I manage the household—she knew nothing of the brewing. The guilt is mine."
