廢帝，鎮州平山人也，本姓王氏，其世微賤，母魏氏，少寡，明宗為騎將，過平山，掠得之。 Feidi came from Pingshan in Zhenzhou. His original surname was Wang, and his family was humble. His mother, Lady Wei, was widowed young; Mingzong seized her when he passed through Pingshan as a cavalry officer.

魏氏有子阿三，已十餘歲，明宗養以為子，名曰從珂。 Lady Wei already had a boy called Asan, past ten. Mingzong adopted him and gave him the name Congke.

己丑，追尊魯國太夫人魏氏為皇太后。 On jichou the court posthumously raised Congke’s mother, Grand Lady Wei of Lu, to empress dowager.
