周齊王憲來伐，先遣送書並赦詔，湝並沉諸井。 Zhou's Prince of Qi Yuwen Xian marched against them, first sending letters and an amnesty edict; Jie drowned them all in a well.

憲曰：「任城王何苦至此？」 Xian said, "Prince of Rencheng — why must it end like this?"

憲壯之，歸其妻子。 Xian admired his spirit and restored his wife and children.

及護誅，帝乃以齊王憲為大冢宰。 After Hu was executed, the emperor made Prince of Qi Yuwen Xian grand minister of war.

齊王憲謂直曰：「弟兒女成長，理須寬博，此寺褊小，詎是所宜。」 Prince of Qi Yuwen Xian said to him: "Younger brother, your children are grown; they need room—this temple is cramped; how can it be suitable?"

憲怪而疑之。 Xian was startled and grew suspicious.

東夏底定，又為行軍總管，與齊王討稽胡。 When the eastern regions were settled, he again became mobile commander-in-chief and, with Prince of Qi Yuwen Xian, suppressed the Ji Hu.

六年，為行軍總管，與齊王憲征稽胡。 In the sixth year of Jiande (577), he was mobile commander-in-chief and, with Prince of Qi Yuwen Xian, campaigned against the Ji Hu.
