司會李植、軍司馬孫恒以先朝佐命，入侍左右，亦疾護之專，乃與宮伯乙弗鳳、賀拔提等潛謀，請帝誅護。 Li Zhi, Director of Accounts, and Sun Heng, Army Marshal—both veterans of the founding reign who attended the emperor—likewise hated Hu’s dominance. With Palace Attendants Yifu Feng, Heba Ti, and others they plotted in secret to have the emperor kill him.

鳳等遂不自安，更奏帝，將召羣公入，因此誅護。 Uneasy, Feng and his allies urged the emperor to summon the great dukes to court and kill Hu in the act.

令綱入殿中，詐呼鳳等論事。 Hu had Gang enter the hall and call Feng and the others under pretense of business.
