時河壖為疆，烽鞞屢警，故集慶軍節度使溫蒂罕達言：「亳州戶舊六萬，自南遷以來，不勝調發，相繼逃去，所存者曾無十一，碭山下邑，野無居民矣！」 With the river frontier under alert and beacons firing, Jiqing Army Military Commissioner Wendihanda said: "Bozhou once had sixty thousand households; since the southern withdrawal they could not bear the levies and fled—fewer than one in ten remain; below the Dang Mountains the countryside is deserted!"
