及神武生而皇妣韓氏殂，養於同產姊婿鎮獄隊尉景家。 When Gao Huan was born his mother Lady Han died, and he was reared in the household of his full elder sister's husband Wei Jing, captain of the garrison prison guard.

劉貴嘗得一白鷹，與神武及尉景、蔡儁、子如、賈顯智等獵於沃野。 Liu Gui once came by a white hawk and went hunting on the open steppe with Gao Huan, Wei Jing, Cai Jun, Ziru, Jia Xianzhi, and the rest.

醜其行事，私與尉景、段榮、蔡儁圖之。 Disgusted by Luozhou's methods, he secretly plotted with Wei Jing, Duan Rong, and Cai Jun.

尉景伏壯士欲執兆，神武齧臂止之曰：「今殺之，其黨必奔歸聚結。 Wei Jing had hidden strong men ready to seize Zhao; Gao Huan bit his arm to stop him, saying, "Kill him now and his faction will scatter and regroup.

發萬人，將遣之，孫騰、尉景為請留五日，如此者再。 He called up ten thousand men to send away; Sun Teng and Wei Jing twice asked for a five-day delay.

庚申，詔以故太師尉景、故太師竇泰、故太師太原王婁昭、故太宰章武王厙狄幹、故太尉段榮、故太師万俟普、故司徒蔡儁、故太師高乾、故司徒莫多婁貸文、故太保劉貴、故太保封祖裔、故廣州刺史王懷十二人配饗太祖廟庭，故太師清河王岳、故太宰安德王韓軌、故太宰扶風王可朱渾道元、故太師高昂、故大司馬劉豐、故太師万俟受洛干、故太尉慕容紹宗七人配饗世宗廟庭，故太尉河東王潘相樂、故司空薛脩義、故太傅破六韓常三人配饗顯祖廟庭。 On the gengshen day, an edict ordered twelve deceased ministers to receive associated sacrifice in the Founding Emperor's temple, including Wei Jing, Dou Tai, Lou Zhao, She Digan, Duan Rong, Wan Sipo, Cai Jun, Gao Gan, Moduo Lou Daiwen, Liu Gui, Feng Zuyi, and Wang Huai; seven others in Emperor Wenxiang's temple, including Princes Yue, Han Gui, and Kezhuhun Daoyuan, Liu Feng, Wan Sipo Shouluogan, and Murong Shaozong; and three more in Emperor Wenxuan's temple—Pan Xiangle, Xue Xiuyi, and Poliuhan Chang.

尉景，字士真，善無人也。 Wei Jing, styled Shizhen, was a native of Shanwu.

景性溫厚，頗有俠氣。 Jing was warm by nature and possessed a chivalrous spirit.

魏孝昌中，北鎮反，景與神武入杜洛周軍中，仍共歸尒朱榮。 In the Xiaochang era of Wei, when the northern garrisons rebelled, Jing entered Du Luozhou's army together with Gao Huan and then both returned to Erzhu Rong.

韓陵之戰，唯景所統失利。 At the Battle of Hanling, only the force Jing commanded suffered defeat.

神武入洛，留景鎮鄴。 When Gao Huan entered Luoyang, he left Jing to garrison Ye.

景妻常山君，神武之姊也。 Jing's wife, Lady Changshan, was Gao Huan's elder sister.

厙狄干與景在神武坐，請作御史中尉。 Kudie Gan and Jing, while seated with Gao Huan, asked to serve as censor-in-chief.

干曰：「欲捉尉景。」 Kudie Gan said, "To arrest Wei Jing."

董桶剝景衣，曰：「公剝百姓，董桶何為不剝公！」 Dongtong stripped Jing's clothes and said, "You strip the common people — why should Dongtong not strip you!"

神武誡景曰：「可以無貪也。」 Gao Huan admonished Jing, "You can do without greed."
