太原少尹李驤曰：「郭公舉兵犯順，其勢不能為漢臣，必不為劉氏立後。」 Li Xiang, deputy governor of Taiyuan, warned, "Guo has taken up arms against his sovereign; he cannot remain Han's minister and will never install a Liu heir."

旻大罵曰：「驤腐儒，欲離間我父子！」 Min roared, "You pedant—trying to set my son and me at odds!"

命左右牽出斬之。 He had attendants haul Xiang out and behead him.

驤臨刑嘆曰：「吾為愚人畫計，死誠宜矣！ On the scaffold Xiang sighed, "I schemed for a fool—death is only fair.

旻慟哭，為李驤立祠，歲時祠之。 Min mourned bitterly, raised a shrine to Li Xiang, and sacrificed to him each year.
