時李㝏為亂，與憲誠書問交通。 Li Zong was then in rebellion and was exchanging messages with Xiancheng.

憲誠表請與㝏節鉞，仍於黎陽艤舟，示欲渡河。 Xiancheng petitioned the throne to share military authority with Li Zong and moored boats at Liyang as though preparing to cross the river.
