神武皇帝十五男：武明婁皇后生文襄皇帝、文宣皇帝、孝昭皇帝、襄城景王淯、武成皇帝、博陵文簡王濟，王氏生永安簡平王浚，穆氏生平陽靖翼王淹，大尒朱氏生彭城景思王浟、華山王凝，韓氏生上党剛肅王渙，小尒朱氏生任城王湝，游氏生高陽康穆王湜，鄭氏生馮翊王潤，馮氏生漢陽敬懷王洽。 Gao Huan, the Shenwu Emperor, had fifteen sons: Empress Wuming née Lou bore Gao Cheng, Gao Yang, Gao Yan, Prince Jing of Xiangcheng Yu, Gao Zhan, and Prince Wenjian of Boling Ji; Lady Wang bore Prince Jianping of Yong'an Jun; Lady Mu bore Prince Jingyi of Pingyang Yan; the Grand Lady Erzhu bore Prince Jingsi of Pengcheng You and Prince of Huashan Ning; Lady Han bore Prince Gangsu of Shangdang Huan; the Lesser Lady Erzhu bore Prince of Rencheng Jie; Lady You bore Prince Kangmu of Gaoyang Shi; Lady Zheng bore Prince of Fengyi Run; Lady Feng bore Prince Jinghuai of Hanyang Qia.

至，盛以鐵籠，與上黨王渙俱置北城地牢下，飲食溲穢共在一所。 When he arrived, he was placed in an iron cage and, together with Prince Gangsu of Shangdang Huan, was put in an underground dungeon beneath the northern city wall; food, drink, urine, and filth were all in one place.

浚與渙皆有雄略，為諸王所傾服，帝恐為害，乃自刺渙，又使壯土劉桃枝就籠亂刺。 Jun and Huan both possessed bold strategy and were admired and submitted to by the princes; the emperor feared they would do harm and therefore personally stabbed Huan, then had the strong man Liu Taozhi enter the cage and stab wildly.

槊每下，浚、渙輒以手拉折之，號哭呼天。 Each time the spear descended, Jun and Huan would grasp it and break it off with their hands, crying out and calling to Heaven.

天保六年，梁元為西魏所滅，顯祖詔立明為梁主，前所獲梁將湛海珍等皆聽從明歸，令上黨王渙率衆以送。 In the sixth year of Tianbao, when Emperor Yuan of Liang was destroyed by Western Wei, Gao Yang issued an edict installing Ming as Liang ruler; Liang generals previously captured, such as Zhan Haizhen, were all allowed to follow Ming home, and Prince of Shangdang Huan was ordered to lead troops to escort them.

上黨王進軍，明又與僧辯書，往復再三，陳禍福，僧辯初不納。 Prince of Shangdang advanced his army; Ming also exchanged letters with Sengbian back and forth several times, setting out fortune and calamity, but at first Sengbian would not accept him.

旣而上黨王破東關，斬裴之橫，江表危懼，僧辯乃啟上黨求納明，遣舟艦迎接。 Then Prince of Shangdang broke Dongguan and beheaded Pei Zhiheng; the lands south of the Yangtze were gripped with fear, and Sengbian then memorialized Prince of Shangdang asking to admit Ming and sent warships to receive him.

三月，齊遣其上黨王高渙送貞陽侯蕭淵明來主梁嗣，至東關，遣吳興太守裴之橫與戰，敗績，之橫死。 In the third month Qi sent Prince of Shangdang Gao Huan to escort Zhenyang marquis Xiao Yuanming to take the Liang succession; at Dong Pass Wuxing administrator Pei Zhiheng fought them and was defeated and killed.
