至順三年八月己酉，文宗崩於上都，皇后導揚末命，申固讓初誌，傳位於明宗之子。 Third year of Zhishun, eighth month, on jiyou day, Wenzong died at Shangdu; the empress guided and proclaimed his final command, reiterated the original intent of firm yielding, and transmitted the throne to Mingzong's sons.

於是遣使征諸王會京師，中書百司政務，咸啟中宮取進止。 Thereupon envoys were dispatched to summon the princes to assemble at the capital; the hundred offices of the central secretariat in all governmental affairs reported to the inner palace for approval.

甲寅，中書省臣奉中宮旨，預備大朝會賞賜金銀幣帛等物。 On jiayin day, central secretariat officials received the inner palace's command to prepare gold, silver, silks, and brocades and other goods for the great court assembly rewards.

乙卯，燕鐵木兒奉中宮旨，賜駙馬也不幹子歡忒哈赤、太尉孛蘭奚、句容郡王答鄰答裏、僉事小薛、呵麻剌臺之子禿帖木兒、公主本答裏、諸王醜漢妃公主臺忽都魯、諸王卯澤妃公主完者臺及公主本答裏、徹裏帖木兒等金、銀、幣、鈔有差。 On yimao day, Yan Temür, following the inner palace's command, granted graded amounts of gold, silver, silks, and notes to imperial son-in-law Yebuqan's son Huantekha, Grand Master of War Bolanxi, Prince of Jurong Commandery Dalindari, commissioner Xiaoxue, Hamalatai's son Tutemür, Princess Bendali, Princess Taihuduru consort of Prince Chouhan, Princess Wanzhetai consort of Prince Maoza, and again Princess Bendali, Cheritemür, and others.

辛巳，修皇太后儀仗。 On xinsi day, the empress dowager's ceremonial regalia was repaired.

賓天之日，皇后傳顧命於太師、太平王、右丞相、答剌罕燕帖木兒，太保、浚寧王、知樞密院事伯顏等，謂聖體彌留，益推固讓之初誌，以宗社之重，屬諸大兄忽都篤皇帝之世嫡。 On the day he ascended to Heaven, the empress transmitted the final command to Grand Preceptor, Prince of Taiping, right chancellor, and dalaqan Yan Temür, Grand Guardian, Prince of Jünning, and privy council administrator Bayan, and others, saying the sacred person was critically lingering and should further advance the original intent of firm yielding; for the weight of altars and state, the charge was placed upon the legitimate heir in the line of the Great Elder Brother Emperor Qoshila.

乙巳，造皇太后玉冊、玉寶。 On yisi day, the empress dowager's jade book and jade seal were made.

丁未，皇太后命作兩宮幄殿、車乘、供帳。 On dingwei day, the empress dowager ordered the making of canopy halls, carriages, and furnishings for the 2 palaces.

甲戌，遣宿衛官阿察赤以上皇太后玉冊告祭南郊，中書平章政事伯撒裏告祭太廟。 On the jiaxu day, palace guard officer Achachi was dispatched to announce sacrifice at the southern suburb with the jade register elevating the empress to grand empress dowager, and Central Secretariat associate grand councillor Barsari announced sacrifice at the Imperial Ancestral Temple.

戊寅，奉玉冊、玉寶尊皇后曰皇太后。 On the wuyin day, the jade register and jade seal were presented to honor the empress as Grand Empress Dowager.

皇太后御興聖殿受朝賀。 The Grand Empress Dowager received court congratulations in the Hall of Sagacious Birth.
