康熙十四年，行取御史，以昌祚子紱官大理寺卿迴避，改刑部主事。 In the fourteenth year of Kangxi he was selected for the capital as a censor, but because Changzuo's son Fu was chief minister of the Court of Judicial Review he recused himself and became a principal clerk in the Ministry of Justice.
