時有敕勒部人蛭拔寅兄地于，坐盜食官馬，依制命死。 At that time two men of the Chile tribe, Zhi Bayin and his elder brother Diyu, were sentenced to death for stealing and eating government horses.

拔寅自誣己殺，兄又云實非弟殺，兄弟爭死，辭不能定。 Bayin falsely confessed to the killing himself, while his brother insisted that the younger man had not done it. The two brothers each claimed guilt, and the court could not decide between their accounts.
