復調吏部，九年，坐失察書吏舞弊，以告病治中趙曰濂虛選運同，降內閣學士，樾上疏置辯，議革職，加恩賜編修。 He returned to the Ministry of Personnel; in the ninth year he was demoted to grand secretary for failing to detect clerical fraud in which Zhao Yuelian of the Bureau of Transmission had falsely appointed a transport intendant while claiming illness. Yue memorialized in his defense; though dismissal was recommended, the throne showed mercy and allowed him to serve as a compiler.
