己酉，太監張善監督軍務，定西侯蔣琬充總兵官，同總督尚書余子俊備大同、宣府。 On jiyou the eunuch Zhang Shan took charge of military affairs; Marquis of Dingxi Jiang Wan became supreme commander and, with Governor-Minister Yu Zijun as overall director, readied the defenses of Datong and Xuanfu.
