天興元年九月，烏丸張超收合亡命，聚黨三千餘家，據勃海之南皮，自號征東大將軍、烏丸王，鈔掠諸郡。 In the ninth month of Tianxing 1, the Wuhuan leader Zhang Chao rallied fugitives into a force of more than three thousand households, seized Nanpi in Bohai, proclaimed himself Grand General Who Conquers the East and King of the Wuhuan, and plundered the surrounding commanderies.
