舉永樂二年進士，改庶吉士，與曾棨、王英等二十八人同讀書文淵閣。 In Yongle two he passed the metropolitan examination, became a Hanlin bachelor, and with Zeng Qi, Wang Ying, and twenty-eight others studied in the Wenyuan Pavilion.
