會衡州刺史元慶和爲桂陽人嚴容所圍，遣使告急，欽往應援，破容羅溪，於是長樂諸洞一時平蕩。 Heng inspector Yuan Qinghe was besieged by Yan Rong of Guiyang and sent for help. Qin marched to relieve him, routed Rong at Luoxi, and pacified the Changle hill country in one sweep.

三年九月己卯，[6]東豫州刺史元慶和據城南叛。 In the ninth month of year 3, on jimao day, [6] Yuan Qinghe, governor of Eastern Yuzhou, seized the city and defected southward.

記月不同，當是各據奏報，至元慶和降梁，必在孝昌三年無疑。 The months differ because each source followed its own report; Yuan Qinghe's surrender to Liang certainly occurred in Xiaochang 3.
