賊遣于子悅攻之，新城戍主戴僧易勸令拒守； The rebels sent Yu Ziyue to attack him; Dai Sengyi, commander of the Xincheng garrison, urged him to hold the city;

君正性怯懦，乃送米及牛酒，郊迎子悅。 Junzheng was by nature timid; he sent rice, cattle, and wine and went to the suburbs to welcome Ziyue.

子悅旣至，掠奪其財物子女，因是感疾卒。 When Ziyue arrived he plundered Junzheng's property and took his women and children; Junzheng fell ill with grief and died.
