入都上萬言書，議變法，給事中餘聯沅劾以惑世誣民，非聖無法，請焚所著書。 On entering the capital he submitted a ten-thousand-word memorial advocating reform; the supervising secretary Yu Lianyuan memorialized against him for deluding the age and deceiving the people, for rejecting the sage and lacking law, and requested that his writings be burned.
