大順初，攻討兗、鄆，命歸弁佐衡王友諒屯單父，軍聲大振，尋為齊州指揮使。 At the beginning of Dashun, when attacking Yan and Yun, he was ordered to aid Prince of Heng Youliang in camping at Shanfu; military prestige greatly shook, and he was soon made Qi prefecture commander.
