立皇子嶷爲豫章王，映爲臨川王，晃爲長沙王，曅爲武陵王，暠爲安成王，鏘爲鄱陽王，鑠爲桂陽王，鑒爲廣陵王，皇孫長懋爲南郡王。 Princes were named: Yi of Yuzhang, Ying of Linchuan, Huang of Changsha, Ye of Wuling, Gao of Ancheng, Qiang of Poyang, Shuo of Guiyang, Jian of Guangling; the imperial grandson Zhangmao became prince of Nan commandery.

宋元徽末，隨世祖在郢。 Late in the Yuánhuī era of Song he was with Emperor Wu at Ying.

升明三年，太祖將受禪，世祖已還京師，以襄陽兵馬重鎮，不欲處他族，出太子爲持節、都督雍梁二州、郢州之竟陵、司州之隨郡軍事、左中郎將、寧蠻校尉、雍州刺史。 In Shengming year 3, as Xiao Daocheng prepared to accept the throne, Emperor Wu was already in the capital. Xiangyang held the empire's horses and arms, and he would not trust another house with it—so he sent the prince out as bearer of the staff, superintendent of Yong and Liang, of Jingling in Ying and Sui in Si, left central commander, colonel pacifying the barbarians, and inspector of Yong.

臨川王映曰：「先舉必敬，以明大體，尊卑事數，備列後章，亦當不以總略而礙。」 The prince of Linchuan, Xiao Ying, said: "To open with reverence is to show the great pattern; the counts of rank and rite are spelled out in later chapters—a summary should not stand in the way."

臨川王映諮曰：「孝爲德本，常是所疑。 The prince of Linchuan, Xiao Ying, asked: "Filial piety as the root of virtue is often doubted.

映曰：「率由斯至，不俟明德，大孝榮親，衆德光備，以此而言，豈得爲本？」 Ying said: "Follow this and you arrive without waiting for bright virtue; great filial piety honors kin and every virtue gleams—on that reading, how is it the root?"

建元元年，遷侍中，出爲臨川王平西長史、冠軍將軍、長沙內史、行湘州留事，先遣之鎮，旣而驃騎豫章王嶷領湘州，以謐爲長史，將軍、內史、知州留事如故。 In the first year of Jianyuan he was moved to attendant, then went out as chief clerk on Prince of Linchuan's western-campaign staff, general who commands champions, interior administrator of Changsha, and acting head of Xiang while remaining in the province. He was sent to the command first; soon after, Prince of Yuzhang Yi took Xiang, and Mi was made his chief clerk, with general, interior administrator, and charge of the province while remaining unchanged.
