時南院樞密使許王仁先、知北樞密院事趙王耶律乙辛、南府宰相蕭唐古、北院宣徽使蕭韓家奴、北院樞密副使蕭惟信、敦睦宮使耶律良等率宿衛士卒數千人禦之。 At the time Southern Court privy commissioner Prince of Xu Renxian, Yelü Yixin who administered Northern Privy Council affairs, Southern Court chancellor Xiao Tanggu, Northern Court palace commissioner Xiao Hanjianu, Northern Court associate privy commissioner Xiao Weixin, Dunmu Palace commissioner Yelü Liang, and others led several thousand night-guard troops to resist.

耶律良密告重元變，命籍橫帳夷離堇房，為漢人行宮都部署。 Yelü Liang had secretly reported Chongyuan's plot; the horizontal-account yilijin houses were ordered registered; he was made Han mobile palace deployment director.

九年秋，敦睦宮使耶律良以重元與其子涅魯古反狀密告太后，乃言於帝。 In the autumn of year 9, Commissioner of the Dunmu Palace Yelu Liang secretly informed the empress dowager of Chongyuan's rebellion and that of his son Nielugu, then reported it to the emperor.

九年七月，上獵太子山，耶律良奏重元謀逆，帝召仁先語之。 In the seventh month of the ninth year, while the emperor was hunting at Mount Taizi, Yelu Liang reported that Chongyuan was plotting rebellion. The emperor summoned Renxian and told him of it.

耶律良，字習撚，小字蘇，著帳郎君之後。 Yelu Liang, whose style name was Sinian and whose childhood name was Su, was a descendant of the Registered-Tent Attendant Gentleman line.

良曰：「窮通命也，非爾所知。」 Liang said, "Failure and success are a matter of fate — not something you can know."

會獵秋山，良進《秋遊賦》，上嘉之。 When the emperor was hunting at Autumn Mountain, Liang presented his 《Rhapsody on an Autumn Outing》, and the emperor praised it.

清寧中，上幸鴨子河，作《捕魚賦》。 During the Qingning reign, when the emperor visited Duck River, Liang composed his 《Rhapsody on Fishing》.

上命良詩為《慶會集》，親制其序。 the emperor ordered that Liang's poems form the 《Celebratory Assembly Collection》 and personally composed its preface.

良聞重元與子涅魯古謀亂，以帝篤於親愛，不敢遽奏，密言於皇太后。 Liang heard that Chongyuan and his son Nielugu were plotting rebellion. Because the emperor was deeply devoted to his kin, he did not dare report it at once and spoke secretly to the Empress Dowager.

帝謂良曰：「汝欲間我骨肉耶？」 The emperor said to Liang, "Do you wish to set my own flesh and blood against one another?"

良奏曰：「臣若妄言，甘伏斧锧。 Liang replied, "If your servant speaks falsely, I willingly submit to the axe.

良以反謀白太后，韓家奴以逆順降奚人，德與阿思殺涅魯古，皆有討賊之力焉。 Liang reported the plot of rebellion to the Empress Dowager; Hanjianu, by distinguishing loyalty from rebellion, caused the Xi to submit; Xiao De and Yelu Asi killed Nielugu — all contributed force to the suppression of the rebels.
