累遷雲南參將，以計擒梟渠徐黑二及宣威小梁山匪首，為時稱。 He rose to colonel in Yunnan; by stratagem he captured the ringleader Xu Hei'er and the bandit chief of Xiaoliangshan in Xuanwei, winning acclaim at the time.
