太子外祖父特進平恩侯許伯以為太子少，白使其弟中郎將舜監護太子家。 The heir's maternal grandfather, Marquis of Ping'en Xu Bo, thought the boy needed more minders and asked that his brother, General of the Household Xu Shun, oversee the heir's establishment.

相因平恩侯許伯奏封事，言：「春秋譏世卿，惡宋三世為大夫，及魯季孫之專權，皆危亂國家。 Wei Xiang submitted a sealed memorial through Marquis of Ping’en Xu Bo, saying, "The Spring and Autumn Annals condemn hereditary ministers, detest the Song line’s three generations as grand ministers, and the Ji clan of Lu’s monopoly of power—all of which endanger the state.
