一二：辛丑，以西北路招討使耶律斡里朵為行軍都統，一三：副點檢蕭乙薛、同知南院樞密使事耶律章奴副之。 — [12]: On xinchou day Northwest Route pacification commissioner Yelü Woliduo was made field army commander-in-chief; — [13]: deputy inspector Xiao Yixue and associate Southern Court privy commissioner Yelü Zhangnu were deputies.

乙薛往援賓州，南軍諸將實婁、特烈等往援咸州，並為女直所敗。 Yixue went to relieve Bin Prefecture; southern army generals Shilou, Telie, and others went to relieve Xian Prefecture; all were defeated by Jurchen.

<六>遣蕭乙薛、高興順招之，不從。 [6] Xiao Yixue and Gao Xingshun were sent to induce submission; they did not obey.

二月，淶水縣賊董龐兒聚眾萬餘，西京留守蕭乙薛、南京統軍都監查剌與戰于易水，破之。 In the second month Lianshui County bandit Dong Peng'er gathered more than ten thousand; Western Capital regent Xiao Yixue and Nanjing field army inspector Zhala fought them on the Yi River and broke them.

三月，龐兒党復聚，乙薛復擊破之於奉聖州。 In the third month Peng'er's party gathered again; Yixue again defeated them at Fengsheng Prefecture.

丁丑，以西京留守蕭乙薛為北府宰相，東北路行軍都統奚霞末知奚六部大王事。 On dingchou day Western Capital regent Xiao Yixue was made Northern Court chancellor; Northeast Route field commander Xi Xiamo administered Xi Six Divisions great king affairs.

六月乙酉，以北府宰相蕭乙薛為上京留守、知鹽鐵內省兩司、東北統軍司事。 On yiyou day of the sixth month Northern Court chancellor Xiao Yixue was made Supreme Capital regent, administering Salt-Iron Inner Court two offices and Northeast field army commissioner affairs.

蕭陶蘇斡耶律阿息保蕭乙薛蕭胡篤 Xiao Taosuwo, Yelu Axibao, Xiao Yixue, and Xiao Hudu

蕭乙薛，字特免，國舅少父房子後。 Xiao Yixue, whose courtesy name was Temian, was a descendant of the junior imperial uncle's younger son.

保大二年，金兵大至，乙薛軍潰，左遷西南面招討使。 In the second year of Baoda, when Jin armies came in overwhelming force, Yixue's army collapsed and he was demoted to southwest pacification commissioner.

凡金兵所過，諸營敗卒復聚上京，遣乙薛為上京留守以安撫之。 Wherever Jin armies passed, defeated soldiers from the camps regathered at Shangjing; Yixue was sent as Shangjing commissioner to pacify them.

明年，盧彥倫以城叛，乙薛被執數月，以居官無過，得釋。 The following year Lu Yanlun rebelled with the city; Yixue was held for several months and released because he had committed no fault in office.

阿息保不死阿疏之難，乙薛甘忍盧彥倫之執，大節已失矣，他有所長，亦奚足取。 Axibao did not perish in Ashu's disaster, and Yixue submitted to Lu Yanlun's capture—their paramount integrity was already gone; whatever other talents they possessed, what is there to esteem?
