大寶元年，綸至郢州，刺史南平王恪讓州於綸，綸不受，乃上綸爲假黃鉞、都督中外諸軍事。 In 550 Xiao Lun reached Yingzhou. Regional inspector Prince of Nanping Ke offered him the province; Xiao Lun refused, so they elevated him as acting bearer of the yellow axe and area commander of all military affairs within and without.
