會護衛蕭忽古謀害乙辛，事覺，下獄。 When guard Xiao Hugu plotted to kill Yixin, the plot was exposed and he was thrown into prison.

乃與同知北院宣徽事蕭特裏特謀構陷太子，陰令右護衛太保耶律查剌誣告都宮使耶律撒剌、知院蕭速撒、護衛蕭忽古謀廢立。 He and Associate Commissioner of the Northern Bureau of Palace Attendants Xiao Telite then plotted to frame the crown prince, secretly ordering Right Guard Commissioner Yelü Chala to accuse Palace Director Yelü Sala, Commissioner Xiao Susa, and guard Xiao Hugu of plotting a coup.

蕭忽古，字阿斯憐，性忠直，趫捷有力。 Xiao Hugu, whose style was Asilian, was loyal and upright, quick and powerfully built.

趙三問左右誰能此，忽古被重鎧而出，手不及峰，一躍而上，使者大駭。 Zhaosan asked who among his men could match the feat; Hugu stepped forward in heavy armor, could not reach the hump with his hands, yet vaulted up in one bound—the envoys were astounded.

帝聞，召為護衛。 When the emperor heard of this he summoned Hugu into the imperial guard.

忽古伏於橋下，伺其過，欲殺之。 Hugu hid beneath a bridge to ambush him as he passed.

及太子廢徙於上京，召忽古至，殺之。 When the crown prince was deposed and sent to Shangjing, Hugu was summoned there and executed.

三年夏，護衛蕭忽古等謀殺乙辛，事覺下獄。 In the summer of the third year the guardsman Xiao Hugu and others plotted to assassinate Yixin; when the plot was discovered they were thrown into prison.
