案項氏說云「漢侍中蟬，刻爲蟬像，常侍但爲璫而不蟬」，未詳何代所改也。 Xiang's note says: "Han palace attendants wore a cicada carved as a cicada; regular attendants had only the ring, no cicada"—which age altered that is not known.
