吳欣之，晉陵利城人也。 Wu Xinzhi was from Licheng in Jinling commandery.

欣之詣欽乞代弟命，辭淚哀切，兄弟皆見原。 Xinzhi went to Qin and begged to die in his brother's place, weeping with such anguish that both brothers were spared.
