桐梓縣民為亂，命速赴任，會湖廣總督吳達善捕治。 When commoners in Tongzi County rebelled, he was ordered to take post quickly and join Huguang governor-general Wu Dashan in suppressing them.

亂定，古州黨堆寨苗香要等為亂，复偕吳達善督兵捕誅之。 After that rebellion was crushed, the Miao leader Xiangyao and others at Dangdui Stockade in Guzhou rose again; Zhaolin again joined Wu Dashan in leading troops to capture and execute them.
