會成都將軍恭壽、駐藏辦事大臣文海交章言其不便，達賴复疏訴於朝，廷議中變，傳霖解職去。 Meanwhile the Chengdu general Gong Shou and the Tibet resident commissioner Wen Hai jointly memorialized that the plan was ill-advised. The Dalai Lama again appealed to the throne, court deliberation shifted midway, and Chuanlin was relieved of his post and withdrew.
