時宦官韋令圖監建及軍，每於莊宗前言：「建及以家財驟施，其趨向誌意不小，不可令典衙兵。」 The eunuch Wei Lingtu was then overseeing Jianji's command and kept telling Zhuangzong, "Jianji is throwing his family fortune around in sudden largesse; his ambitions are larger than they look—he must not be left in charge of the gate army."
