高祖作相，王謙舉兵於蜀，沙氐上柱國楊永安扇動利、興、武、文、沙、龍等六州以應謙，詔長儒擊破之．謙二子自京師亡歸其父，長儒並捕斬之．高祖受禪，進位上大將軍，封蘄春郡公，邑二千五百戶． While Emperor Gaozu was still regent, Wang Qian rebelled in Shu. Yang Yong'an of the Shadi Di, a pillar of state of the first rank, roused the six prefectures of Li, Xing, Wu, Wen, Sha, and Long in support of Qian, and an edict sent Changru to break them. Qian’s two sons escaped the capital to join their father; Changru seized and executed them both. When Gaozu took the throne, Changru was promoted to grand general of the first rank and enfeoffed as duke of Qichun commandery with twenty-five hundred households.

王謙作亂益州，遣使致書於長述，因執其使，上其書，又陳取謙之策。 When Wang Qian rose in rebellion in Yizhou, he sent a messenger with a letter to Changshu; Changshu seized the envoy, forwarded the letter to the throne, and submitted a plan for taking Qian.

上大悅，前後賜黃金五百兩，授行軍總管，率眾討謙。 The emperor was delighted, rewarded him with five hundred taels of gold in all, and made him campaign commander to lead forces against Qian.

及王謙作亂，高祖以衍為行軍總管，從梁睿擊平之。 When Wang Qian rebelled, Emperor Wen made Yan campaign commander and he followed Liang Rui to put down the revolt.

旣平王謙，謙恥與逆人同名，因爾稱字。 After Wang Qian's rebellion was crushed, Louqian was ashamed to share a name with the traitor and henceforth used his courtesy name.

王謙作亂，高祖以威為行軍總管，從元帥梁睿擊之。 When Wang Qian rebelled, Gaozu appointed Wei campaign commander under Marshal Liang Rui to suppress him.

軍次通穀，謙守將李三王擁勁兵拒守，睿以威為先鋒。 The army halted at Tonggu, where Qian's defender Li Sanwang held the pass with elite troops; Rui made Wei his vanguard.

進至開遠，謙將趙儼眾十萬，連營三十裡。 Advancing to Kaiyuan, they faced Qian's general Zhao Yan with a hundred thousand men in camps stretching thirty li.

追至成都，與謙大戰，威將中軍。 They pursued to Chengdu and fought a great battle with Qian; Wei commanded the center.

及謙平，進位上柱國，拜瀘州總管。 After Qian's defeat Wei was promoted to Senior Pillar of State and appointed regional commander of Luzhou.

八月庚申，益州總管王謙舉兵不受代，即以梁睿為行軍元帥，率軍討之。 Eighth month, on gengshen day Wang Qian, inspector-general of Yi Province, raised troops and refused to be replaced; Liang Rui was immediately made campaign commander and led troops to suppress him.

其共迥元謀，執迷不悟，及迥子侄，逆人司馬消難、王謙等，不在赦例。 Those who originally conspired with Jiong, clung to error without awakening, and Jiong's sons and nephews, and the rebels Sima Xiaonan, Wang Qian, and others, are not within the amnesty.

沙州氐帥、開府楊永安聚衆應王謙，遣大將軍、樂甯公達奚儒討之。 Yang Yong'an, Di leader of Sha Province and Kai Fu, gathered troops in response to Wang Qian; Grand General Daxi Ru, Duke of Le'ning, was sent to suppress him.

戊寅，梁睿破王謙于劍南，追斬之，傳首京師。 On wuyin day Liang Rui defeated Wang Qian in Jiannan, pursued and beheaded him, and sent his head to the capital.
