唐中和中，事青州節度使王敬武為小校。 During Tang Zhonghe he was a staff officer under Qingzhou commissioner Wang Jingwu.

敬武卒，三軍推其子師範為留後，朝廷命崔安潛鎮青州，州人拒命。 After Jingwu's death the army made Shifan acting commissioner; the court sent Cui Anqian to Qingzhou, but the province would not obey.
