兄鑒，頗好聚斂，廣營田業，惠意甚不同，謂鑒曰：「何用田為？」 His elder brother Jian was fond of amassing wealth and greatly expanded his estates; Hui thought quite differently and said to him, "What need is there for fields?"

鑒怒曰：「無田何由得食！」 Jian said angrily, "Without fields, how can one get food!"
