遣知府王成謙等要擊，而自督軍巡河，露宿四晝夜，賊連敗，始西遁。 He sent Prefect Wang Chengqian and others to intercept them while he personally patrolled the river with his army, sleeping in the open for four days and nights. The rebels were defeated repeatedly and at last fled westward.
