大康三年，皇太子坐事，乙辛誣以罪，按無跡，獲免。 In the third year of Dakang (1077), when the heir apparent was implicated in a case, Yixin falsely charged him with a crime; the investigation found no evidence, and the prince was spared.

對曰：「皇儲無罪遭廢，我輩豈可美食安寢。」 She answered, "The heir apparent was innocent yet deposed—how can people like us eat fine food and sleep in peace?"

及太子被害，不勝哀痛。 When the heir apparent was killed, her grief was beyond bearing.

及乙辛謀構皇太子，餘里也多助成之，遂知北院樞密事，賜推誠協贊功臣。 When Yixin schemed against the crown prince, Yulili did much to make it succeed; he was then put in charge of Northern Court privy affairs and granted the title Meritorious Subject of Sincere Support.

乙辛譖皇太子，殺忠直，合魯多預其謀。 When Yixin slandered the crown prince and killed the loyal and upright, Helu took part in many of his schemes.

乙辛欲害太子，以達魯古凶果可使，遣與近侍直長撒把詣上京，同留守蕭撻得夜引力士至囚室，紿以有赦，召太子出，殺之，函其首以歸，詐云疾薨。 When Yixin wished to kill the crown prince, he judged Dalugu cruel and resolute enough for the task; he sent him with Inner Attendant Direct Chief Saba to the Upper Capital, where together with the acting commander Xiao Tade they led strongmen by night to the prison chamber, deceived the prince with word of an amnesty, called him out and killed him, boxed his head and returned, and falsely reported that he had died of sudden illness.

達魯古恐殺太子事白，出入常佩刀，有急召即欲自殺。 Dalugu feared that the murder of the crown prince would come to light; he always carried a knife when he went in and out, and if urgently summoned he intended to kill himself.

及太子被譖，按無跡，塔不也附乙辛，欲實其誣，與訛都斡等密奏：「太子謀亂事本實，臣不首，恐事覺連坐。」 When the crown prince was slandered and the inquiry found nothing, Tabuye sided with Yixin to make the charge stick; with Eduwo and others he secretly memorialized: "The crown prince's plot of rebellion was real; if I do not come forward first, I fear that when it is discovered I will be punished with the rest."

帝信之，廢太子。 The emperor believed them and deposed the crown prince.

始誣皇后，又殺太子及其妃，其禍之酷，良可悲哉。 First he slandered the empress, then killed the crown prince and his consort—the cruelty of the harm he wrought is truly lamentable.

君子所親，莫皇后、太子若也。 Among those whom a gentleman holds dear, none compare with the empress and the crown prince.
