議駮國史，檀超以《天文志》紀緯序位度，《五行志》載當時祥沴，二篇所記，事用相懸，日蝕爲災，宜居《五行》。 In debate over the national history he objected that Tan Chao's 《Astronomical Treatise》 recorded the ordering of coordinates and degrees while his 《Treatise on the Five Phases》 recorded contemporary omens and disasters—the two chapters covered overlapping material, and since solar eclipses are calamities they ought to fall under the 《Five Phases》.
