先是，罷任安溪知縣孫鏞告福建巡撫張仲舉、布政使張永茂侵蝕庫帑，遣郎中吳爾泰會總督勘訊，至即拘訊知府六人，連引州縣官數十人。 Earlier, dismissed Anxi magistrate Sun Yong had accused Fujian Governor Zhang Zhongju and Administration Commissioner Zhang Yongmao of embezzling provincial funds; Bureau Director Wu Ertai was sent with the governor-general to investigate, and on arrival immediately detained six prefects and implicated dozens of county and prefectural officials.
