咸平元年六月，御前忠佐石歸宋獻木羽弩箭，箭裁尺餘，而所激甚遠，中鎧甲則竿去而鏃存，牢不可拔。詔增歸宋月奉，且補其子為東西班侍。 In the sixth month of the first year of Xianping (998), Palace-front Loyal Associate Shi Gui-Song presented wooden-feathered crossbow bolts barely more than a foot long that nonetheless flew very far; when they struck armor the shaft fell away while the point remained lodged and could not be pulled free. An edict raised Gui-Song's monthly stipend and appointed his son as an Eastern and Western Class attendant.
