耶律朔古，字彌骨頂，橫帳孟父之後。 Yelu Shuogu, whose courtesy name was Miguding, came from the Horizontal Tent Mengfu line.

朔古與趙延壽據中渡橋，重威兵卻，遂降。 Shuogu and Zhao Yanshou held the Zhongdu Bridge; Chongwei's army fell back and he surrendered.

世宗即位，朔古奉太宗喪歸上京，佐皇太后出師，坐是免官，卒。 When Emperor Shizong came to the throne, Shuogu escorted Emperor Taizong's coffin back to the Supreme Capital and aided the empress dowager in taking the field; for this he was stripped of office and died.

太宗潛由他渡濟，留延壽與耶律朔古據橋，敵不能奪，屢敗之，杜重威掃厥眾降。 Taizong secretly crossed at another ford, leaving Yanshou and Yelu Shuogu to hold the bridge; the enemy could not take it, and after repeated defeats Du Chongwei surrendered with his entire force.
