二年壬子春正月，幸失灰之地，遣乞都不花攻末來吉兒都怯寨。 In the second year (renzi), in the first month of spring, he visited Shihui and sent Qutuq Buqa to attack the fortress of Mergen.

秋七月，命忽必烈征大理，諸王禿兒花、撒立征身毒，怯的不花征沒裏奚，旭烈征西域素丹諸國。 In the seventh month of autumn Kublai was ordered against Dali; Princes Törel and Sali against Sind; Qutuq Buqa against the Merkit; and Hulagu against the sultanates of the west.

乞都不花等討末來吉兒都怯寨，平之。 Qutuq-buqa and his commanders reduced the Melaiji'r-duqie stockade and pacified the region.
