述與刑部尚書衛玄、左禦衛將軍來護兒、武衛將軍屈突通等躡之。 Shu, together with Minister of Justice Wei Xuan, Left Imperial Guard General Lai Huer, Martial Guard General Qutu Tong, and others, pursued him.

述與來護兒列陣當其前，遣屈突通以奇兵擊其後，大破之，遂斬玄感，傳首行在所。 Shu and Lai Huer drew up their battle lines before him and sent Qutu Tong with a flanking force to strike from the rear. They inflicted a crushing defeat, beheaded Xuangan, and sent his head to the emperor's traveling residence.
