又多取渾厚少文者置之台鼎，宣宗嘗責丞相僕散七斤'近來朝廷紀綱安在'？ They also favored solid, unlettered men for the highest offices. Emperor Xuanzong once rebuked Chancellor Pushe Qijin: 'Where has the court's discipline gone lately?'

七斤不能對，退謂郎官曰：'上問紀綱安在，汝等自來何嘗使紀綱見我。 Qijin could not answer. On retiring he told his staff: 'The emperor asks where discipline has gone—you yourselves have never let discipline reach me.'
