八年，典順天鄉試，因中式舉人平齡朱墨不符，為言官論劾，興大獄，大學士柏葰論大辟，鳳標亦解任聽勘。 In the eighth year he presided over the Shuntian provincial examination; when the successful candidate Ping Ling's papers failed to match the official copies, the censors impeached him, a major scandal erupted, Grand Secretary Bai Jun was sentenced to death, and Fengbiao was removed from office pending investigation.
