時帝怠於政事，荒於遊宴，以宮女三聖奴、妙樂奴、文殊奴等一十六人按舞，名為十六天魔，首垂發數辮，戴象牙佛冠，身被纓絡、大紅綃金長短裙、金雜襖、雲肩、合袖天衣、綬帶鞋襪，各執加巴剌般之器，內一人執鈴杵奏樂。
At this time the emperor was slack in government affairs and dissolute in feasting and play; sixteen palace women — Sansheng Nu, Miaole Nu, Wenshu Nu, and others — performed arranged dances called the Sixteen Heavenly Demons. Their heads bore several braids of hair; they wore ivory Buddha crowns and were adorned with jeweled chains, great red silk gold long and short skirts, gold mixed jackets, cloud collars, heaven robes with joined sleeves, sashes, shoes, and socks. Each held a kapala-bowl instrument, and one among them held a bell-staff and played music.
